Elections 2026


The elections for the presidency of the DCL took place during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 16 January 2026. There was a single candidate for the position, Rosario de Caro (Italy). In accordance with the electoral regulations, the confirmation of a sole candidate requires the approval of at least half of the members plus one (8 votes). The voting resulted in 11 affirmative votes out of the 15 members, thereby officially confirming Rosario de Caro as President of the DCL for the new cycle (2026-2029).

Rosario de Caro succeeds President Juan Carlos Basilio (Spain), who steps down after 12 years of dedicated leadership. During his tenure, Juan Carlos Basilio leaves the DCL in a strong and consolidated position. Under his guidance, the organisation experienced significant development and expansion, including the growth of futsal competitions, women’s football, U21 tournaments, youth camps, the formal registration of the association, the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with EDSO, and several other important initiatives.

The newly elected Executive Committee will be composed of the following members:
